In the early 1970’s the company 'died' from many factors. Their high quality product were expensive to make and they had market saturation as they never wore out because of the high quality. But one factor that may be overlooked is they largerly kept with a similar design for decades. Many of the patterns were the same thru this period, and after 3 decades the designs were dated.
